  No more big District Conventions?

  so i went to the hall today for a funeral and took a look at the bulletin board.

  i was surprised to see a letter stating the dc for michigan would be held at the local assembly hall instead of the big convention center in ohio where it had been held the past few years.

  have you all heard about this?.

  I have hered that there will big international conventions during the summer 2014. MAybe we could speculate a bit of new ligt coming up then, 100 years after...you know what!

  The July 15 Watchtower and all its new light is only...

  making people cling to the organization more.

  when i found out it was up i told so many people frantically that there is a new study article up and that it had so many changes.

  my mother started crying saying how happy she is to be a part of an organization that is truly directed by jehovah... only the true faithful and discreeet slave could have such insight.... another person began to say how great it is to see the celestial chariot on the move.. .

  Yes, Cupcake, some will think. But remember.....the ghanging of that "generation" had more impact on the rank and file. It was an opening for delaying the time to the big A. Maybe they felt that they were not supposed to se the end of this world order. The same thing can be said of the infamous overlapping generations.

  But, the GB as the FDS changes nothing for the rank and file. They had to blindley obey the GB before this change, and they have to obey now.

  OK! Maybe some people will react and see that the GB is tightening their grip. We will surely see some new members here. But it will not cause a mass exodus.

  New Light: That's what you call irony!

  i read a part of the new light in the april 15 study watchtower and got one conclusion: that's what you call irony!.

  if we, readers of that magazine, said the same as written, before october 2012, it would lead to disfellowship.

  if we were invited by a comite, and we would say the same, we would be disfellowshipped for live and for eternal life!!!!

  I think most of the rank and file will accept it without thinking. The GB has been their "bosses" for a long time. This will not have anything to do with their daily living circumstances.

  Problems with the "Bogus AWAA Fan Page"..

  good afternoon jwn... .

  i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

  aawa "did not" create the facebook awaa fan page.

  I'm sorry to say, Cedars, but this doesn't make sence:

  "Bo expressed this because he thought people were joining of their own volition rather than being added against their will. The fact that Bo and other members were added to it and thought it was harmless to begin with does not make it legit. We weren't aware of the group owner's activities in randomly joining members until it was too late."

  If Bo and other people from the AAWA-board were added to the "bogus" group, why did they not react at first? It was an AWAA-group started by people outside the AAWA. And why did they think it was harmless? They must have seen it was an open group.

  OK OK, maybe it's easy to be a bit overenthusiastic, but...this doesn't make sence to me. I don't think you are that naive.

  Yes! Interesting observation. A lot of rank and file are not interested in dogma or interpretations of the bible. They just focus on paradise where they will pet pandas and feed lions with carrots. Any critical thinking can deprive the feeding those lions with carrots.

  This is an excellent example of why it is impossible to reach believing cult members with facts and logical reasoning. You have just observed the cognitive dissonance in action.

  The more you attack the beliefs, the more secure they feel that they have the truth(that is getting brighter and brighter).

  We have to learn more from Steven Hassan. It's all about reaching the "true self". Discussing dogma only activates the "cult self". It's just counterproductive.

  WTF??? So it was nog the bogus page that got all these unknowing members? It was the "real" one? And you made it "open to all"? This sounds really strange.

  Took it upon himself to take the AWAA Name,Logo and start a AWAA Fan Page..

  Then just start adding or referring everyone in his group.

  He took it upon himself to simply add everyone in his friends and readers lists.
  (Quite a large and diverse membership)"

  If this is the case those people must be real nutheads.

  So, I hope a lot of people here will be careful having contact with those "Christian witnesses". As someone stated in the other thread......there is a certain place in hell for those who are outing X-JW's. I do really hope that those "christian witnesses" does believe in hell.....and that they are expecting an extra hot spot in the fire for themselves.

  Anyhow..this might be a good lesson. If you are starting an organisation for for exposing the WTS.......learn lesson No 1......be quiet about it!
